After a really busy week I am delighted to say we have finally got our new website open to motorists with some 250+ female friendly garages and dealerships on board across the UK.
True but not quite total coverage as we have yet to get a female friendly garage or dealership on board in Northern Ireland; Claire and Emily are working on that, this week.
Some early adopters have really entered into the spirit of the female friendly photo which is a free feature with a FOXY Choice gold package. In my opinion smiling faces and welcoming internal photos present a more friendly image than a ‘me-too’ business exterior!
We have businesses offering WiFi access, Playstations, babychange facilities and run by teams of women. Hurrah! One Bosch Car Service garage in Glenrothes, Fife, encourages Mums to deliver their car to the garage, their children to a participating creche and then keep fit in the local leisure centre during their car’s MOT, servicing or repair time!!
Many provide free transport to and from local shopping centres when these aren’t within walking distance of the garage or dealership.
I am delighted that this is turning out to be a really different way of looking at the garage experience from the eyes of a busy woman driver, be she home or work based.
I also suspect that many garages and dealerships are sitting on the fence to see how many will sign our female friendly FOXY Promise. Not just a female friendly welcome but also a commitment to never knowingly overcharge, patronise or sell unnecessary services. To my surprise, this has been a stumbling block for even the biggest businesses; I can see they don’t have the same hands-on management controls (or confidence perhaps) as a family owned garage.
