Ladies driving challenge for North East Children’s Hospice

This is such a good cause.

A very special driving event in the North East of England this weekend will raise vital funds for the Grace House Children’s Hospice in Sunderland.

Held on Sat 24 and Sun 25 April at Albemarle Barracks, nr Heddon on-the-Wall the challenge is for women drivers to have the most fun you could ever have with a seat belt on!

This is your opportunity to drive 4 or 5 vehicles during the day including a Fire Engine, Police Car, Articulated Lorry and a crane plus many more.

You can also learn to manoeuvre between cones and skid in control, always a useful discipline I’d say…

Or take the beer goggles challenge (you have to come along to find out…)!

Entry costs £25 providing you have secured £100 worth of sponsorship which can’t be too difficult for such a fantastic cause…

To find out more, visit Grace House website or contact 0191 5166302.

Local celebrity weather girl and news reporter Philippa Thomson is supporting this event in person and by now will have a good idea of the weather to expect; but it won’t matter if it isn’t sunny because it’s going to be so much fun…
