Basic maintenance 'could save you cash'
Women drivers who do not want to end up searching for a female-friendly garage to carry out engine repairs may want to start paying more attention to basic vehicle maintenance.
Auto care company Comma has warned some five million motorists in the UK are risking having to shell out for expensive car repairs because they never lift the bonnet to check their oil level.
The firm suggested this neglect could result in vehicle owners in Britain facing a combined annual bill of £300 million.
In order to highlight the importance of basic maintenance, the group is marking National Oil Check Week - which runs from June 15th to 19th - with a series of roadshows up and down the country.
Among the venues being visited will be Gyle Shopping Centre in Edinburgh and Cabot Circus in Bristol.
