Ladies looking for a female-friendly garage where they can get their oil checked may want to drop into their local Carcraft service centre.

The company has announced it is offering free dipstick tests all this week to motorists keen to ensure their engines are in tip-top condition.

It explained the deal will be available between June 15th and 19th to mark National Oil Check Week.

Group service manager Joe Conlin claimed it is important drivers do not underestimate how important this aspect of basic maintenance is.

"It's essential your car has sufficient oil if you want to avoid a hefty and unnecessary repair bill," he stated.

Meanwhile, research from Comma has shown half of motorists in the UK do not conduct this vital vehicle check.
