Dads 'need day off from driving kids about'

Women drivers searching for a Father's Day gift for the man in their lives may want to consider offering to chauffeur the kids about.

According to Motors.co.uk, dads across the country deserve to put their feet up and relax on their special celebration.

The group made this statement after conducting research that found fathers typically spend six months of their lives ferrying their kids to school and various social events.

By the time an average child reaches 18 years old, they will have been driven more than 56,000 miles by their old man – the equivalent of making the journey from London to Paris 266 times.

Katie Armitage, marketing manager for the website behind the study, said: "This Father's Day, Motors.co.uk is calling for all dads to have the day off to spend some quality time at home with their families - without a car in sight."

Meanwhile, MPH recently suggested Top Gear Live tickets could make a great gift for men up and down the country.
