Drivers encouraged to work out behind the wheel
Women drivers who struggle to find time to exercise may want to check out a new fitness regime from insurance provider Diamond.
The company has come up with a workout that can be undertaken while stuck in traffic, after it conducted research that found 84 per cent of motorists spend up to 80 minutes every day behind the wheel travelling to and from the office.
It teamed up with exercise and sport physiologist Karianne Wasley Backx to produce ten simple exercises.
One of these activities is a face workout that involves drivers raising their eyebrows as if they are surprised and then frowning.
Motorists were advised to repeat this ten times.
Sian Lewis, Diamond managing director, said: "Make sure you are stationary and in a safe place before giving them a go and don't be surprised if you get some funny looks when carrying out the facial exercises."
Meanwhile, a previous study by the insurer found a third of Brits are attracted to people because of the car they drive.
