Drivers 'should choose insurance that suits their needs'
Women drivers who feel overwhelmed by the various car insurance options available may benefit from thinking about what features of a policy are most important to them, if recent comments are anything to go by.
Defaqto has suggested motorists who are unsure what cover to choose should think about their own particular circumstances and priorities.
The group issued this advice after conducting research that found people are likely to struggle to make a decision because of the high number of different options available.
In a report entitled Motor Insurance 2009: Another Bumpy Ride, the organisation revealed there are 140 providers in the UK offering in excess of 200 policies.
Principal consultant for general insurance Mike Powell said: "The motor insurance market provides so much choice for the consumer that it can be very confusing when choosing an insurance provider."
Meanwhile, ladies may benefit from researching women's car insurance information before making a final decision on protection.
