Female motorists may be tempted by safe choice

Foxy lady drivers prefer new car dealerships that have signed the female friendly FOXY Promise© to never knowingly overcharge, patronise or sell women motorists' services they don't need.

Mums who prioritise the safety of their kids above anything else when buying a new car may want to check out the Honda Accord.

The model was recently awarded the maximum protection rating following independent crash tests by Euro Ncap.

In order to achieve a five-star score, vehicles have to perform well in a number of different categories.

Factors taken into consideration include how well adults would be protected in the event of a crash and the safety measures put in place to look after children.

The assessment also bears in mind any steps taken to minimise the effect on pedestrians - were they to be hit by the model in question - and features designed to avoid crashes in the first place.

One innovation featured in the Accord is Collision Mitigation Brake System, which warns drivers if they are getting too close to the vehicle in front.

Women drivers may also be impressed to hear a number of other cars recently received five-star safety ratings, including the Toyota iQ and Mazda6.
