Fiat may be the green choice
Foxy lady drivers prefer new car dealerships that have signed the female friendly FOXY Promise© to never knowingly overcharge, patronise or sell women motorists' services they don't need.
Women drivers who like to do everything they can to minimise their effect on the environment may be impressed by Fiat.
Jato - an automotive research company - has revealed the manufacturer has achieved the lowest average CO2 emissions from cars sold in 2008, at 133.7 g/km.
This is the second consecutive year the company has managed this feat.
Managing director Lorenzo Sistino said: "The result of this important analysis rewards Fiat's ongoing quest for innovative solutions for the reduction of polluting emissions and levels of CO2."
However, he added the group would not be resting on its laurels.
Mr Sistino revealed Fiat intends to improve its green credentials by coming up with new technologies, engines and applications.
One such development the company is working on is its Start&Stop system, which has already been fitted in the Fiat 500.
The innovation means the engine automatically turns itself off when idling in traffic and restarts when the motorist is ready to move off.
