Ford 'could help drivers cut their carbon footprint'

Women drivers who are always looking for ways to cut their carbon footprint may want to consider a vehicle from Ford when the time comes for them to trade in their current model.
According to a study by Clean Green Cars, the manufacturer has done more than any other company to reduce the impact of its autos on the environment this year.
Ford put this down to the introduction of vehicles like the Fiesta ECOnetic - which releases carbon dioxide emissions of 98 g/km.
The car could also help motorists cut the amount they spend at the pump, as it boasts fuel economy of 76.3 mpg.
Jay Nagley, publisher of Clean Green Cars, commented: "New car carbon dioxide emissions are falling at an unprecedented rate and Ford is more than playing its part."
Meanwhile, taking a vehicle to a female-friendly garage to ensure it is running at its best is another way women drivers may be able to reduce their carbon footprint and fuel consumption.
