An entrepreneur and former mortgage adviser from Warwickshire has decided to give up her day job to focus on the female-friendly service that she has created.

Helen Wilkes, from Kenilworth, is the founder of the Stiletto Golf Society, a club set up for businesswomen to make new contacts and do business while on the golf course.

"I had the inspiration to set up Stiletto Golf to enable executive women to learn, practise and play golf both socially and for business," Ms Wilkes said, according to the Birmingham Post.

The society was launched around 12 months ago and its founder now plans to expand to Telford and Nottingham, with the ambition to eventually have a club in every UK county.

Stiletto Golf Society members get to play golf once a month without the need to join a regular club, with access to a PGA professional also allowing the businesswomen to develop as players as well as executives.

According to the society's website, some 60 members tee off at events every month, creating another type of foxy lady driver.
