Foxy lady drivers 'may have to pay more to park'
12 August 08

Foxy lady drivers who leave their cars in council-run car parks are paying more than they were two years ago, it has been claimed.

According to the Daily Mail, statistics show that the cost of parking in shopping centres and busy city areas has gone up by 14 per cent in two years.

It could be that this proves to be too expensive for female motorists already paying high road tax and female car insurance bills, although there could be female-friendly dealerships prepared to cut costs.

But a spokesperson from the Local Government Association has stated that the money raised by councils goes "back into local transport".

"The number of vehicles on British roads has increased by almost a quarter over the past decade ... Effective use of parking restrictions to improve traffic flows and manage congestion is more important than ever," said the source.

Earlier this year, foxy lady driver Lily Allen suffered the double-blow of breaking up with her boyfriend and picking up a parking ticket in a short space of time.
