Going green 'cannot wait'

The government needs to start encouraging motorists to consider electric cars sooner rather than later, it has been claimed.
GoinGreen made this statement after it was revealed grants of up to £5,000 to help drivers purchase this tyre of eco-friendly vehicle will not be made available until 2011.
The company also voiced disappointment that its own Reva G-Wiz electric car will not be included in the scheme.
It stated that although the Department for Transport did not outline exactly which vehicles would feature, most models currently on the market are expected to be excluded.
Steve Hartridge, managing director of GoinGreen, commented: "If Britain really does want to reduce its carbon emissions, then encouraging greener transport is more vital then ever and should not be delayed."
Meanwhile, women drivers keen to buy an environmentally-friendly electric car may want to check out the G-Wiz L-ion, which is due out next month and has a range of up to 75 miles.
