'Hit the road on Valentine's Day'
Female drivers who do not have their own set of wheels could make Valentine's Day really special this year by hiring a vehicle, it has been claimed.
Avis Rent A Car pointed out there are a variety of activities on offer in the UK and - in order to enjoy them - all people need is a motor and as little as a fiver.
The company said drivers who love London may be well-advised to take the opportunity to hire the latest addition to its fleet - the Fiat 500.
It said the model "is the car to be seen in" and because it is so compact it is easy to park.
Avis suggested people heading to the capital could visit London Zoo or take a leisurely walk in Regents Park Rose Garden.
For those who prefer the idea of a romantic drive, the company advised the Cotswolds and the Lake District both offer spectacular scenery.
In related news, Europcar recently said men and women drivers could make Valentine's Day memorable this year by hiring a prestige motor - such as a Porsche Boxster - for the weekend.
