Holidaymakers 'may benefit from car checks'
Cash-strapped women drivers who are planning to cut costs by holidaying in the UK this year may be well advised to book some car checks before setting off on a long journey.
According to ATS Euromaster, it is important to make sure vehicles are up to lengthy, high speed trips on the motorway.
It suggested people who fail to do so could face a stressful start to their getaway.
Spokesman Chris Hufflett explained: "For these holidaymakers, the last thing they want is to breakdown at the side of the road with a car full of excited kids and a boot jam-packed with luggage."
In order to help motorists identify any potential problems, ATS Euromaster is offering free car checks.
Alternatively, women drivers may prefer to book their auto in for a service at a local female-friendly garage they know and trust.
Such establishments agree not to patronise or overcharge their customers.
