Ladies 'need to think about what they need'
Women drivers who are shopping around for car insurance should think about exactly what they require from their cover, it has been claimed.
According to the British Insurance Brokers' Association, protection that seems cheap may not always be the best option.
It explained if a policy does not contain all the features a motorist requires they may find they have to keep paying for add-ons and what initially seemed inexpensive could start to look less reasonable.
The group used the example of drivers who plan to take their vehicles abroad.
Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive, said people looking for insurance should think to themselves "ok, if I know it's going to cost fifty pounds extra if I go to France then I will bear that in mind when I get the quotes in the first instance".
