Ladies 'should not give up on old bangers'

Hard-up female motorists do not necessarily need to get rid of their old bangers, it has been suggested.
Vehicle care firm Armor All said for some drivers, the government's scrappage scheme is not the answer.
It explained that with a little bit of tender loving care, motorists can keep older autos running smoothly for years and years.
The group added, even with a £2,000 discount, many people will not be able to afford to take part in the cash for bangers initiative.
However, it stated such individuals should not worry as vehicles are built to last.
The company commented: "In contrast to the UK government's latest Darling idea, Armor All – pioneers in the art of car care – are urging owners of older cars not to throw in the can."
Meanwhile, booking ageing autos in for regular car servicing at a female-friendly garage may also help them to stay in peak condition for longer.
