Foxy lady drivers are being attracted to the vehicles that will cost them least in terms of road tax and insurance in the current economic climate, according to the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba).

The organisation's technical and corporate affairs executive, Graeme Trudgill, said that thanks to the credit crunch, motorists are looking for "the most affordable methods of transport".

"Road tax is priced according to your emissions as well, so there are financial benefits to driving greener vehicles, both in tax and insurance," Mr Trudgill commented.

He also suggested that people are looking to environmentally-friendly vehicles such as the Toyota Prius as their car of choice, with "the large four-wheel drive vehicles" not proving so popular.

Cameron Diaz is one foxy lady driver who has gone green when it comes to her motor of choice.

The Hollywood star is a known fan of the hybrid car and even said once: "I love my Prius."
