Mazda raises cash for ovarian cancer charity
Female motorists may be impressed by the charitable efforts of Mazda.
Employees based at the manufacturer's Crossways Industrial Estate in Dartford recently raised more than £400 for ovarian cancer awareness.
Staff wore red and held a Tea party in support of The Eve Appeal (Tea) - a charity that donates cash to help investigations into gynaecological cancers.
Jeremy Thompson, managing director with the manufacturer, commented: "We were really pleased to support The Eve Appeal to help raise ovarian cancer awareness among Mazda employees and contribute to much-needed funds for vital ongoing research."
The charity is encouraging women across the country to get involved with its current campaign by holding their own Tea parties.
It claimed, as well as raising money for research, these events would boost awareness of ovarian cancer.
Earlier this month, Volvo bosses raised £3,000 for Comic Relief by auctioning off a day of their time to dealerships up and down the UK.
