Motorists warned about fuel fears
Female motorists with diesel vehicles keen to avoid expensive car repairs may want to heed advice from Clean Green Cars.
The consumer group conducted an investigation into the fuel B30 that is sold on 113 of Morrisons' forecourts across the country and found not all manufacturers are convinced of the product's safety.
It explained researchers spoke to 17 companies and 15 said they did not recommend using the high-blend biodiesel, as they were concerned it could damage a vehicle's engine.
Jay Nagley, publisher of Clean Green Cars, commented: "Owners who miss warning notices on pumps or who ignore the advice of their carmaker risk invalidating warranties and paying for repairs further down the line."
However, supplier of B30 Harvest Energy stated there have been no reported problems with the fuel, which has been on sale for two years.
