New Ford Fiesta ECOnetic 'may tempt female drivers'
Ecologically-aware female drivers eager to enhance their green credentials could find they are tempted by Ford's newest offering.
The vehicle maker's Fiesta ECOnetic has been identified as the most environmentally-friendly car in the UK by independent analysts.
Automotive website Cleangreencars.co.uk's publisher Jay Nagley noted it is able to maintain its status as a sustainable motor while ensuring there is no loss in driving pleasure.
"Of the 3,600 production models ranked by CO2 on Cleangreencars.co.uk, the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic comes out top among five-seaters," he added.
Ford states the model's efficiency refinements - which include modified engine calibration, optimised rolling resistance tyres and aerodynamic rear air deflectors - provide it with "unrivalled" fuel economy and low emissions.
Earlier this week, the new Ford Fiesta 1.25i Zetec picked up the Car of the Year 2009 accolade from What Car? magazine due to its "zingy" engine, nimble handling and strong grip on the road.
