FOXY Newsdesk New green motoring innovation unveiled 14 May 09
Environmentally-friendly women drivers who could see themselves purchasing an electric vehicle in the years to come may be impressed by the latest green motoring innovation.
British company Elektromotive unveiled EBConnect at a zero emissions exhibition in Norway this week.
The device - which was described as "groundbreaking" by its creator - monitors and invoices for electricity used from car charging stations.
According to the company, the innovation will make it straightforward to bill customers accurately.
Elektromotive managing director Calvey Taylor-Haw said: "We are working hard to increase our network of charging stations around the globe."
He added developments like EBConnect will help the change to electric-powered vehicles happen more quickly.
Currently there are 160 Elektrobay charging stations across the UK and the new device is to be fitted in all of them.
Women drivers keen to reduce their carbon footprint may find regular car servicing can help to keep a motor running as efficiently as possible.
