New service 'could help women drivers find love'
Female motorists who are hopeful they will find love before Valentine's Day may be interested in a new form of social networking.
PL8M8 allows drivers to note down registration numbers of people who catch their eye and then text them when it is safe to do so.
Founder Euan Williamson said the scheme is anonymous and users only divulge contact details if they choose to.
He stated he had been staggered by the popularity of PL8M8, adding there were members across the UK.
Mr Williamson commented: "We don't promise to help people find the partner of their dreams but it is happening."
Women drivers interested in joining PL8M8 will not have to pay a joining or subscription fee, but will simply be charged for the text messages they send.
Meanwhile, Europcar recently suggested people make Valentine's Day really special for a loved one this year by hiring a prestige vehicle - such as a Mercedes SLK or Porsche Boxster - for the weekend.
