New site aimed at women from Yahoo! 01 April 08
A new lifestyle website aimed specifically at women has been launched by internet company Yahoo!.
Shine, as the site is known, focuses on a number of different areas including fashion and beauty, healthy living, entertainment and work and money, among others, with a slant that is focused on the female gender, something that foxy lady drivers may find appealing.
"You can count on us to bring attitude and personality, and find humour in almost every topic we cover," said editor-in-chief of Yahoo! Shine Brandon Holley.
He added that the site "speaks to you as a friend" and aims to help women simplify their lives.
The company has said that some 40 million 25 to 54-year-old women currently visit the main Yahoo! page every month, making the new site a perfect fit for many Yahoo! users.
As well as original editorial content, Shine will feature magazine articles from partners such as InStyle, Glamour and Marie Claire.
According to the Shine website, it aims to offer tips on things such as "how to de-stress your desk" and "how to make a meal in 30 minutes" rather than information on topics such as how to please your man or crash dieting.
