Peugeot may appeal to green women drivers
By choosing a garage or dealership that has signed the female friendly FOXY Promise© women drivers can avoid being patronised, overcharged or mis-sold services at MOT, car servicing or vehicle repair times.
Female motorists who are keen to drive a car by a manufacturer with an environmentally-friendly track record may be impressed by Peugeot.
Ten years ago, the company agreed to finance a reforestation project over a period of 40 years in Amazonia, in partnership with the French National Forestry Board.
A decade on, Peugeot has declared the scheme a success, with more than two million trees of 50 local species planted.
The manufacturer stated the main aim of the project was to demonstrate it is possible to carry out reforestation with native trees and that doing so helps in the fight against global warming.
However, Peugeot added the scheme is designed to evolve and pointed out its objectives may change over time in response to questions posed by its scientific partners.
The manufacturer concluded by saying its green credentials are backed up by the fact it is the world's leading low-emissions vehicle producer.
Earlier this month, Peugeot claimed it is not always necessary to downsize to find a more fuel-efficient car, as models like its 308 are a good economical choice.
