Price comparison sites 'should be used with caution'
Women drivers looking for the best possible car insurance may be well advised to use price comparison sites with caution, if the comments of one industry body are anything to go by.
The British Insurance Brokers' Association has claimed these types of aggregators tend to focus almost entirely on which deals are cheapest.
However, it pointed out there are other factors to take into account when purchasing a policy - such as the benefits a customer would expect in the event of a claim.
Corporate affairs executive Graeme Trudgill suggested the online resources could be useful but should not be a person's only source of information.
He stated: "Get an indication from the site but go to your insurance broker because they will be available to advise you on what is best for you and refine what you need."
