Soul train sets off

Women drivers who are out and about over the coming weeks could see an unusual spectacle.

Kia has announced a convoy of eight of its vehicles will be making its way across the UK.

The Soul models will be made up to look like famous cars from the silver screen, including the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazard, Herbie and the Gran Torino in Starsky & Hutch.

Drivers of the vehicles will be stopping at various locations up and down the country and jumping out to perform renditions of classic soul songs.

Simon Hetherington, marketing director with Kia, commented: "We are really excited to have the train on tour."

He stated: "It represents what Soul is all about - quirky, fun and for the young at heart."

In other news, female motorists with kids may be impressed to hear the model was recently awarded a maximum five-star safety rating from Euro Ncap, with a score of 86 per cent for child protection.
