Women drivers who have been hit by car clampers and tax fees could sympathise with the feelings of one Ford Fiesta owner.

Ian Taylor saw red when he returned home to find his car had been clamped by officials for having no tax.

Although he had registered it as off the road an official from NCP Services spotted a rear wheel sticking out onto the road off his drive and clamped it.

Mr Taylor then used a power saw to cut the back end of the car off in an effort to make a stand.

Mr Taylor, who lives in Gloucestershire, said: "I had to make a point. These people are so petty and they just won't listen to you."

NCP Services, which was acting on behalf of the DVLA, later condemned the act as dangerous.

Foxy Lady Drivers Club Members and other motorists are advised by the DVLA to ensure the tax data the organisation holds on their cars is always up to date.
