Supermodel takes first green test drive
Women drivers keen to cut motoring costs and their carbon footprint may want to think about following in the tyre tracks of Jodie Kidd.
The supermodel recently took Fiat's first ever eco test drive as part of a new initiative to help motorists improve their green credentials.
Jodie - who recently took part in Strictly Come Dancing - got behind the wheel of a 500 city car and her performance was measured using the manufacturer's eco:Drive technology.
By plugging a USB key into the vehicle, the system is able to record information on a person's driving style and then offer advice on how they can improve.
The eco test programme is being piloted in ten Fiat dealerships across London and if successful could be extended throughout the country.
Jodie said the eco:Drive innovation "is absolutely right for the moment".
She added: "People should be thinking more about their driving and the environment - it's a great idea."
