Suzuki Alto 'could save drivers cash'

Cash-strapped female motorists who want to ensure their next model is as efficient as possible may be impressed by a vehicle from Suzuki.
During the recent Revolve Eco Rally, the Alto completed the 76-mile journey from Brighton to London using less than six litres of fuel.
The manufacturer claimed the vehicle's performance in the event highlights the group's commitment to building environmentally-friendly autos.
Buyers will find the model offers fuel consumption of 64 mpg and CO2 emissions of 103 g/km.
After testing the motor recently, Autocar said: "The Suzuki Alto is a small car, which does all the things very small cars used to do simply, honestly, without frills and with lots of interactivity."
Meanwhile, ladies who downsize in a bid to cut the amount they spend at the pump may also find they can secure a better deal on specialist insurance for women drivers - as more diminutive models are normally eligible for cheaper cover.
