Women drivers in the West Midlands are being warned to be on their guard after a spate of thefts from cars parked at a beauty spot.

Handbags are being snatched from vehicles on Clent Hills, North
Worcestershire, with mp3 players, keys and bank cards among items that have gone missing.

Pink handbag-shaped leaflets are being handed out to female motorists and their passengers in an effort to remind people of the problem, the Halesowen News reports

Quoted by the paper, PC Chris Lord of Hagley Police said many visitors
to the area were from other parts of the Midlands or the country as a
whole and could be "unaware of the ongoing problems."

A similar theft has also been reported at nearby Lickey Hills, where a solar-powered talking information sign is reminding people to be vigilant.
