FOXY Newsdesk VW might have the answer for eco-friendly ladies 15 May 09
Female motorists who are keen to get rid of their old banger for a more environmentally-friendly model may want to pay a visit to their nearest Volkswagen dealership next week.
The manufacturer has revealed its Fox city car will be available for £4,845 under the government's new scrappage scheme - which is launched on Monday May 18th.
Women drivers who buy a smaller vehicle may find as well as reducing their carbon footprint, they are also able to cut their fuel and insurance bills.
Alternatively, those looking for something a little larger could get their hands on the World Car of the Year for less than £12,000.
The Volkswagen Golf will be priced at £11,585 under the scheme, while the Polo will cost from £6,345.
In order to take part in the programme, ladies must have owned the car they intend to scrap for a minimum of 12 months.
The vehicle must also be at least ten years old.
Women who still cannot afford to replace their current motor may find they can keep it running for a few more years by taking it for regular car servicing.
