Vauxhall could get ladies into a tight spot
Women drivers who do not want to end up having to search for a female-friendly garage after an accident caused by trying to squeeze into a tight spot may be impressed by some new gadgets from Vauxhall.
The manufacturer has released two sensor systems designed to take the pain out of parking and hopefully reduce the need for car repairs.
One of the devices is fitted to an auto's number plates and the other to a vehicle's bumpers.
The first system will set female shoppers back £179, while the second costs £229.
Vauxhall claimed the gadgets could provide the answer to an age-old problem for motorists.
"How many times have we all overlooked tight parking spaces for fear of damaging our cars under the gaze of impatient drivers?" the manufacturer asked.
Meanwhile, ladies looking to get rid of their old bangers may be pleased to hear Vauxhall has thrown its full support behind the vehicle scrappage scheme unveiled in last month's Budget.
