Why not create the perfect plate for Valentine's Day?

Female drivers looking to give something a little different this Valentine's Day have a new service at their disposal thanks to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
The organisation explains it receives a lot of requests for romantically-themed registration plates in the run-up to February 14th.
As such, it has created a new system which allows users to fill in a few details about themselves and their loved ones before carrying out a search on its database.
Damian Lawson, marketing manager for DVLA Personalised Registrations, comments: "With one in five registrations bought as gifts, we always receive a huge surge in Valentine's-linked registrations."
He noted the new system allows people to add an "extra personal touch" to such plates.
The popularity of mobile social networking site MYPL8 - which allows people to meet new friends using car registration plates as a starting point - was recently noted by its founder Euan Williamson.
