Women drivers 'urged to beat the bully'
Women drivers are among the road users being encouraged to support this year's National Anti-Bullying week, which runs from November 17th to 21st, by brushing up on their knowledge of the UK's road rules.
The RAC Foundation is urging motorists to reacquaint themselves with the Highway Code, in a bid to reduce road rage in the UK.
It explained aggressive behaviour behind the wheel is a form of bullying and warned "being over-confident about driving skills and the rules of the road leads to a series of actions and reactions that can end in disaster".
Middle-lane hogs and tailgaters are highlighted as two groups of drivers who demonstrate a lack of respect for other road users.
The organisation claimed a thorough working knowledge of the Highway Code can help motorists behave in the correct manner.
In other news, the RAC Foundation recently reported that 17 million road users are putting themselves and other drivers at risk because they are not taking proper car of their tyres.
