Do Women Need Their Own Motoring Club?
We are often asked what we do and why this matters. Even by women who are unhappy with the way they have been treated in garages or car showrooms but think ‘that’s just the way it is.’
That’s not the way FOXY sees it. We KNOW women can make a big difference to service levels in the motor industry today.
HOW CAN FOXY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
By setting high female standards
The Club makes a difference for all motorists by setting the quality bar in the motor industry to meet fussy female needs and expectations. Women are simply more demanding shoppers than most men; those businesses that meet FOXY standards will not just please women but are likely to also delight men in the process.
By charging low prices
We have recently reduced our subscription to a low cost LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION of just £23 because we appreciate that too many women are bearing the brunt of today’s job losses and pressures on the household budgets.
By providing unique Club services
As well as a range of money-saving offers, members of FOXY Lady Drivers Club enjoy the following services AND they can share them with their family
- VIP treatment at FOXY approved FEMALE FRIENDLY garages, fastfits, franchised dealerships, used car showrooms and accident repair centres that have signed the female friendly FOXY Promise© to “never knowingly overcharge, patronise or sell women services they do not need or want”.
- A FEMALE FRIENDLY accident management service before they speak to their insurer to take independent advice about their choices and best interests
- A friendly motoring helpdesk for advice and support, no matter the query. We also support members who are dealing with a complaint. NB: Our presence can make a difference to the outcome.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR FOXY?
We continue to work with the motor industry to improve service levels for women and to speak out about important motoring issues that affect them.
We’d like to see fully regulated garages, more female staff in the motor industry and less confusion about the many versions of car servicing that makes it difficult to compare prices.
In the immediate future we are concentrating on raising awareness levels of the impact of the EU’s gender equality ruling in that women will be paying more for car insurance from December 2012.
Not only is this Unfair For Females because statistics confirm we are the lower motor insurance risk but also because it is yet another government move that seems to be affecting women more than men.
So much so that it might prove to be a tipping point for female voters who cannot do without cars in their busy lives…
This brief resume is why there is a need for a dedicated motoring club for women.
