In accordance with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), we have conducted an audit of our data, how we collect this, where we store it and what we use it for. As a membership club for women drivers, our members (Classic and Online) have double-opted in to our Club Rules as part of their Application To Join form.
As such, our membership services (including Welcome To The Club email, monthly e-newsletters and all helpdesk queries) are conducted on the basis of ‘legitimate interests’ or ‘proper performance of the contract with the data subject (as in Club members)’ as expressly permitted by Article 6 of the GDPR.
Nonetheless, we are happy to spell out our PRIVACY POLICY below, in sufficient detail to cover your data rights alongside the typical dealings we might have with both members and non members of FOXY Lady Drivers Club.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This is a legal document (‘Agreement’) which sets out your rights and obligations and those of FOXY Lady Drivers Club (‘FOXY’, ‘we’ or ‘us’). Please read this carefully including our PRIVACY POLICY before visiting our website. If you do not agree with our terms and conditions, please do not use this website.

As a limited by guarantee company, operated on a not for profit basis, FOXY Lady Drivers Club Limited (The Club) respects the privacy of all who visit www.foxyladydrivers.com. With total transparency in mind, we’re more than happy to explain the types of personal information we collect, what we use this for and how we look after it.
The ethos of our Club is to provide motoring information/advice/offers and support services that members can trust. As such FOXY Lady Drivers Club will never sell your data, use your data for any other reason than to deliver membership services or share your data with any business – other than for legal reasons or with a FOXY Partner who has provided you with a free Online Member gift subscription.

Purposes For Processing Your Personal Data
We require information from Club members to
- carry out our administrative membership function
- provide a personal service should you contact our helpdesk or support services
- share feedback about motoring services.
To be specific…
- To process your membership application, FOXY will require the following information: your name, address, any email address, telephone numbers and your everyday vehicle.
- To be able to advise and recommend local services for Club members, FOXY Helpdesk will want to know about your car and where you live.
- When publishing female feedback about FOXY Lady Approved businesses we ask permission to include the name of the feedback giver and record the IP address used to authenticate this in case of any queries. If this permission is not given we do not publish the name of the feedback giver.
Marketing Communications
The Club makes use of social media ‘buttons’ at this website so users can link to or bookmark relevant web pages. These include the third party social media sites Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. These sites may log information about your browsing activities so always review their terms of use and privacy policies to understand how they use your information and how to opt-out or delete your personal information where they have this.
Club members can unsubscribe from email newsletters but this does not affect their Club membership or the personal data provided when joining the Club (see below).
To Resign Your Club Membership
If you wish to permanently resign your Club membership, you must confirm this in writing by

NB: After resigning your Club membership, you (and members of your family) can no longer make use of our members only insurance services, affinity car buying scheme and/or any Helpdesk/support.
Disclosure of Personal Data
We may be required to validate your membership status or share your personal data, where relevant, with the parties set out below.
- Business partners who have provided you with a gift Online Membership of FOXY Lady Drivers Club.
- HM Revenue & Customs, regulators and other authorities based in the United Kingdom plus other relevant jurisdictions who require reporting of any processing activities in certain circumstances.
- Insurance brokers and affinity car buying scheme providers to confirm your eligibility for preferential Club services.
- Third parties to whom the Club might sell, transfer, or merge parts of this business or our assets to in future.
Data Security
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.
We use encryption technology to minimise the risk of any unauthorised access to, or improper use of your personal information. If you register online, the transaction takes place on a secure webserver using SSL technology. The information you enter is encrypted before it is sent to us and no data is sold or traded with anyone. Your details are then passed immediately to FOXY HQ where we encrypt any sensitive financial information and store it away from the webserver. Having said all that, no computer system is totally secure, but we feel confident that ours is as good as it can be.
We limit access to your personal data to those agents, contractors and other third parties who have a legitimate business need to know this.
These parties will only ever process your personal data on our instructions and are subject to a duty of confidentiality at all times.
We have also put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of any breach where we are legally required to do so.
We require all third parties, to whom we are allowed to transfer your data, to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We only allow such third parties to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

By law we are required to keep basic information about our members (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being our customers for tax purposes.

Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in such circumstances.
We may also request specific information to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.
We do our best to respond to all legitimate requests within one month.
