Emma and Mitsubishi Motors go from strength to strength

Emma Soble joined Mitsubishi Motors’ HQ in Chippenham in 2004 straight from University as part of their Graduate scheme. Since then she has worked in Customer Services, Marketing, Events and Product Development, as well as taking on roles at Mitsubishi’s import centre at the Royal Portbury Dock and as an Area Manager.

With as much experience as this Emma is clearly well equipped to cope with her new role of General Manager Network Development, starting in November.

This involves looking after the franchising, dealer development and training teams at what is a busy time for the UK’s fastest-growing mainstream car brand.

To put this into context, the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show that passenger car sales for Mitsubishi Motors in the UK are up 62 per cent year-to-date, compared with a cross-industry growth of just seven per cent. To reflect this growth, nine new dealers have joined the Mitsubishi network this year so far.

Emma is clearly excited about her new role and said

“The franchising and training teams are fantastic, so I’m looking forward to working with them. I will still be working closely with the dealers of course, which is great. The brand is going from strength to strength and we need to make sure the dealers are prepared for the challenges that come with that, in terms of increased demand.”

Needless to say, the more Mitsubishi grows in the UK, the more dealers Emma will need, so she still has work to do as far as recruitment is concerned. And as UK dealers take on new staff to cope, the more training is needed and so on.

So we predict a really busy and exciting time for Emma.
