Last August Waltham motorist Jane Robinson took the family car to Bush Tyres in Grimsby for its annual MOT safety check including a new set of Bridgestone tyres, before entering a competition there to win a new car.
Jane told us: “I never win anything, hence my total surprise. Our car needed an MOT towards the end of August and due to the amount of travelling that my husband and I do with our grandson, we knew we’d need new tyres.
“So I booked the car in and, with the benefit of hindsight, I remember entering the Bridgestone competition at the time. When Bush Tyres called me last week to say I’d won, I was completely lost for words. I can’t wait to take my first drive in the car. One thing’s for sure, I’ll make sure that I get into the driver’s seat before my husband!”

Bridgestone ran the promotion during August and September, giving motorists the chance to win the brand new BMW after purchasing a set of the company’s premium tyres. Their sales and training development manager, Mark Fereday, explained that competitions like these are always popular with drivers and Bush Tyres had been particularly good at encouraging their customers to enter.
“It is great to see such a delighted overall winner” said Mark. “We’re glad Jane has won and can’t wait to hear how she enjoys her new driving experience.”
