Be Part Of The Italian Job in 2018

Be Part Of The Italian Job in 2018

Here’s this year’s Mini adventure – drive yours to Italy and be there between 27 October and 2 November 2018. Have a great time, eat and drink well. Meet fellow Mini fans. And all in a good cause – to raise funds for the Buttle UK charity in 2018 so 1000 children, who haven’t one to themselves already, get their own bed to sleep in.

We’re told that 400,000 children in the UK do not have a bed of their own affecting their sleep, concentration levels, academic achievement and job prospects.

Interested? Fans of the iconic ‘The Italian Job’ film, starring Michael Caine, will be for sure.

Star of BBC Strictly Come Dancing and ITV’s Judge Rinder, Rob Rinder looks like a potential Jobber to us. He launched registrations for this special event alongside Italian Job organiser Freddie St George in the photo.

It doesn’t matter what type of Mini you own, classic or modern. You can even drive one of the other classic cars in the film such as a Fiat 500, Alfa Giulia, E-Type Jaguar, Aston Martin DB4, London Cab, Fiat Dino Coupe or Lamborghini Miura!

The Italian Job Programme

The Italian Job 2018 programme includes following in the tyre tracks of the iconic 1969 film journey, through the Swiss Alps, across Italy and ultimately onto the rooftop test track at the world famous Fiat factory building in Turin.

On Saturday 27th October, starting from Imola, you’ll head off for Emilia Romagna visiting the automotive homeland of Ducati, Lamborghini and Ferrari before going on to cities including Bologna, Modena and Ravenna.

You then head North to the finishing line in Turin via Monza.

Just imagine – that’s 7 adventure filled days driving ‘off the beaten tracks’ through beautiful unspoilt scenery to enjoy the magic of real Italy.

You’ll also participate in a navigational Reliability Trial to put your driving skills and navigational ability to the test. You’ll either see this as an enjoyable bit of fun or as a highly competitive challenge. Either way, the winning team is the one that receives the fewest number of penalties – not the fastest driver.

For the first time, a host of celebrities are joining the 2018 event – and no we don’t know if Judge Rinder is fitting this in between filming engagements.

What does The Italian Job cost and include?

The cost of this unique adventure (based on 2 people in each car) is £895 per person inclusive of: 6 nights in 4-star hotel accommodation (4 nights in Imola and 2 in Turin); daily breakfast, luncheon and dinner with local wines included; Dover ferry crossings; VIP visits to local vineyards and racing circuits; assistance & escorting; parking fees (specified); service & taxes.

For full details see www.italianjob.com.

The Italian Job ‘Jobbers’ can reserve their place for £200 on a first come, first served basis. Only 100 cars can take part – so hurry if you want to be one of them in 2018.

It starts on October 27 and reaches the finishing line on 2 November. You have to raise £1,500 per car for Buttle UK (this equates to 10 beds per car for a child in need).

Finally you’ll get a full set of rules and regulations together with a detailed itinerary when you book your holiday.
