If you don’t already know who Rebecca Jackson is, you soon will!
She’s a British race car driver, TV presenter, motoring journalist, brand ambassador, fitness guru, world record holder, multiple trophy winner, soon to be children’s writer and former used car sales business owner.
Clearly a busy and knowledgeable woman about all aspects of motoring, Rebecca is the perfect FOXY Lady to catch up with and find out what’s happening in motorsport and in automotive in general – when she’s either on the track or in front of a camera.

Rebecca’s Racing Programme
The last few months have been all about motorsport. I have just returned from Le Mans, which was an amazing experience as always. In 2016, I took part in the support race, which was a huge honour for me, so to be back to watch the 24 hours was a highlight of my year so far.
I recently spent two incredible days getting to grips with the new Porsche 991 2018 Cup Car, leading up to Project Monaco – which I can’t go into detail about just yet, but it is very exciting – I promise to reveal all very soon. The 991 911 will be my car for next season in the Carrera Cup, so until then, I’ll be taking part in a few Cup Car races this year with my amazing team, Welch Motorsport.
As well as the 991, I have also signed up for a season racing a modern version of the classic VW Beetle, Herbie, which I know is going to be great fun! You can follow our progress using the #ModernHerbie hashtag.
I am also taking part in EGT, a brand new electric GT Championship, featuring a field of race-prepared Tesla Model S P100DLs. EGT was expected to start last year, however there have been some delays and it now looks set to kick off in November. The provisional calendar for the first year includes world-famous circuits such as Paul Ricard, Silverstone and Nürburgring.
I tested the car in December and found it to be engaging and very enjoyable. I think the spectators will be surprised by the speed of these cars. The modified Model S’s are fast – with a maximum speed of 250km/h and 995Nm of torque, they can do 0-100km/h in just 2.1 seconds!
Rebecca in front of a camera
At the moment, it seems like every minute I am not driving, I am in front of a camera. In my previous life, as a used car business owner, I learnt a thing or two about how to buy cars and what to look for, so when TV channel Dave approached me about hosting a different type of car-buying series, I jumped at the chance.
The premise of the show, called ‘Modern Wheels or Classic Steals’ involves Elo King (the owner and founder of The London Motor Museum) and me, helping a confused car shopper choose between a modern motor or a classic car. The programme will be broadcast in September this year, with the first series being 20 episodes long – hopefully the first of many.
This week I am filming a series of Road Safety videos for Pertemps Driver Training. The videos will help raise awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and using mobile devices at the wheel. We also address common driving distractions which regularly cause accidents, as well as tips for seasonal driving.
