As well as her exciting car races and detail-packed car reviews she is also a TV presenter, motoring journalist, brand ambassador, fitness guru, world record holder, multiple trophy winner, soon to be children’s writer and former used car sales business owner.

It’s been another busy month spent wrapping up the final days of filming on my new TV show, Modern Wheels or Classic Steals. Elo King (the owner of the London Motor Museum) and I have paired up for the new show which is currently being shown on Dave every Monday at 8pm. If you have missed any shows, you can head over to UKTV Play to catch up.

Each episode sees a different enthusiast asking for our help with their next car purchase. I will be trying to convince them that a modern vehicle is the best fit for their budget and requirements, while Elo will be advocating a classic car purchase instead.

We feature a wide range of vehicles, to fit a variety of budgets – from £6,000 to £100,000 – from daily drives to weekend toys, post-war machines to modern classics.

When I’m not filming for Dave, I have been preparing and presenting the following car reviews for What Cars? YouTube channel.

Jaguar E-Pace review
VW T-Roc review
Kia Sorento review

The last three weeks seem to have been stuffed with SUVs as I reviewed the Jaguar E-Pace, the VW T-Roc and the Kia Sorento. Although all three technically come under the SUV segment, they are very different cars across three very different price points. If you are looking for space and practicality, any of these vehicles would be up to the job as I explain.

I’ve made a couple of BBC Radio appearances as well this month. I’ve discussed the increase in size of modern cars over the last few years on BBC Radio 2 with Jeremy Vine, as well as the death of the VW Beetle and the best UK service stations on BBC Radio 5. My favourite service station is the M6 Toll’s Norton Canes and I’m not alone it seems because a recent poll by Transport Focus drivers voted these services the best in the country.

On the track, I have been having so much fun in my fabulous Modern Herbie race car that I was really disappointed to hear that VW plan to stop Beetle manufacture in 2019. The end of production for any iconic car is a sad day in our industry, especially for one with a history as long and rich as the Beetle.

Finally I was very lucky to be handed the reins of Maserati’s Instagram page in August to promote the launch of its latest model, the Maserati Levante. This is the first-ever SUV offering from the Italian sports car marque. Starting at £56,000, the Levante is a direct competitor for the Range Rover Sport, Porsche Cayenne, BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.

Thank you again, Rebecca.

NB: Don’t forget to tune into ‘Modern Wheels or Classic Steals’ on Monday evenings at 8pm on Dave to see Rebecca recommending the modern wheels option to an uncertain car buyer. Alternatively you can binge watch these anytime on UKTV Play.
